About Us

Charles is an award-winning media composer, music producer, sound designer, and eclectic musician accomplished in a wide range of styles, working collaboratively with directors and producers to optimize the value of film, television, and commercial projects.

He began composing at the age of 8 while taking private piano lessons and determined as a teenager to turn his love for music into a life-long passion. To that end, Charles completed undergraduate studies at Baylor University with a B.M. in music composition. He went on to work on his master’s degree in music composition at Rice University and then served as music director at several churches in Houston and Dallas.

More recently, Charles has been elevating the unique voices of film and TV directors and producers through engaging industrial rock and hybrid film music with his business partner Parker Wiksell. Charles’ and Parker’s credits include track placements in CBS, HBO, Netflix, A&E and MTV shows, scoring many award-winning feature films, short films, and documentaries, scoring an award-winning television series on PBS and a live awards show, and scoring commercials airing on ESPN, AMC, Comedy Central, and MTV.

Parker’s and Charles’ industrial hybrid production music album “Industrial Machines Rise” was released in October 2018 by Velvet Green Music.

The premier of Charles’ song cycle “Four Poems by Emily Dickinson” for soprano voice, cello, and piano was presented by his daughter Melissa Mallory at her senior voice recital at San Jose State University. His arrangements have been performed by St. Luke’s Orchestra, New York City, St. George’s Episcopal Church Choir, New York City, the St. Olaf Orchestra, St. Martin’s Episcopal Church Choir, Houston, Texas, and Truro Anglican Church, Fairfax, Virginia.
